DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Manager is responsible for managing a complex federal program, directing daily staff and task activities to meet objectives. Duties include:

  • Supervise assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate managers.
  • Ensure quality of products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits
  • Serve as a liaison with customers to coordinate activities, negotiate tasks, and solve problems
  • Responsible for coordinating and monitoring subcontractor activities and for meeting the performance, schedule, and budget needs

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and engages in high impact assignments.
  • Functions as a technical expert across work assignments.
  • May supervise others.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • At least 15 years managing large-scale, highly complex IT projects, and at least 10 years of managing projects with 30 or more staff
  • Demonstrated success managing, coordinating, and maintaining Federal IT projects on schedule and within budget, managing customer and stakeholder collaboration to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements
  • Demonstrated success in organizing, planning, directing, and coordinating systems development, operations, and contact center project teams consisting of 30 or more technical staff across multiple locations.
  • Effective oral and written communications and making presentations to all levels of management for planning and control of activities
  • Brings ability to interpret policies and requirements

EDUCATION

  • Undergraduate college degree from an accredited college or university in a course of study related to the requirements of this contract.
  • Project Management Institute Project Management Professional Certification (or equivalent)
