Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated Manager Transplant Clinical Programs to join the Heart Failure team. This role will be full-time, Monday - Friday, regular office hours.

Manager Transplant Clinical Programs Job Responsibilities:



  • Oversees transplant and associated programs to ensure it is performing effectively, which may include but not limited to, hiring and training team members, creating and implementing business strategies, managing performance of team members, and delegating tasks.
  • Manages program clinical operations and works collaboratively with the ambulatory clinic manager to support care and clinical support in the clinic and outreach locations.
  • Monitors program-specific regulatory compliance with OPTN/UNOS and JC standards.
  • Works with the clinical and quality teams to support quality and PI initiatives.
  • Develops tools and oversees clinical orientation and ongoing competency assessment for clinical team members.
  • Actively participates in multidisciplinary team meetings including patient selection and quality committees
  • Provides short-term leadership coverage as needed for the program director (i.e. service line clinical coverage).
  • Represents the transplant program in Nursing Leadership Council and Magnet activities.
  • Collaborates with inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic and procedural area nursing leaders on clinical program and project initiatives.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Experience: 2 years acute care nursing, 1 year leadership, supervision or management
  • Certification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association; Licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience: 2 years of transplant experience
