Be You. Duke University's Marcus Center for Cellular Cures has an opening for an on-site Cord Blood Coordinator in their Carolinas Cord Blood Bank in Duke Regional in Durham, N.C. This is a grant funded position. Schedule is 6:30 am - 3 pm M-F. More information about this center is located at the link below: https://marcuscenter.duke.edu/resources/ccbb/ OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY Oversee the collection of umbilical cord blood units and related procedural paperwork and documents for the Carolinas Cord Blood Bank (CCBB). Be involved in promotion of public cord blood banking, education of the mother/donor, data collection, and other necessary operational requirements for the successful collection of umbilical cord blood units for public banking and directed donation. Be point of contact for trouble shooting issues related to cord blood donation and collection. Disseminate best practices and act as liaison with hosting hospital personnel. Identify areas for efficiency gains and collaboratively develop and implement process improvements at the sites. Minimum Requirements Education/Training Completion of an Associate's degree Experience Work requires a minimum of two years of relevant research experience. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for 2 years required experience. Be Bold.
