Who we are and what we do:

The Tennessee Department of Treasury impacts the lives of Tennesseans every day. Treasury is responsible for many of the financial operations of state government, including managing more than $100 billion in assets through its various investment programs. We administer and invest the State's Retirement Program, RetireReadyTN, which combines the state pension plan, Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System, and the State's Defined Contribution plans. Treasury serves all Tennesseans by helping to educate and empower them to make smart financial choices, and by providing public-serving programs in the areas of college savings, financial literacy, unclaimed property, risk management, criminal injuries compensation, and more.

Job Overview:

This position directly managing teams assignments, planning, and execution of Information Systems support and project activities based on the priorities set forth by respective business and technical stakeholder groups. Develop and govern effective process and procedures leading to secure, auditable, and operationally viable systems and equipment. Observe, review, and evaluate teams performance in support of Treasury's goals and objectives

Key Responsibilities:

Implement and maintain processes and tools for organizing requests in prioritization for assignment. Provide timely, standardized, and accurate reports on the status of projects and other activity to various stakeholder groups. Coordinate or directly maintain the tools and systems for managing priorities, resource planning, assignment, and status. Elicits business strategic insight and assists in the creation and refinement of the IS project portfolio, which includes the definition of each projects scope, product and solution options, resource requirements, and schedule expectations Maintain necessary resources through vendor elicitation, hiring, and training. Continuously evaluate performance for adequacy, gaps, and coaching opportunities Manages complex Vendor relationships to help ensure that the products and services they are providing are meeting or exceeding expectations

Minimum Qualifications:

Graduation from a college or university with a bachelor's degree A minimum of 9 years of professional level experience in business analysis, technical quality assurance, software development, infrastructure and networking, database administration, cyber security, or procurement of business information systems.
