POSITION SUMMARY:

The Process Coordinator is responsible for supporting the design, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of key operational processes within the healthcare organization. This role assists in ensuring that clinical and administrative workflows are efficient, compliant with healthcare regulations, and aligned with organizational goals for quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.


Responsibilities

  1. Support the development and documentation of end-to-end processes for clinical and non-clinical operations.
  2. Identify inefficiencies and assist in initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce waste.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure processes are patient-centered and staff-friendly.
  4. Help define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for operational processes.
  5. Conduct preliminary root cause analyses and assist in implementing corrective actions for underperforming areas.
  6. Utilize data analytics to support evidence-based decision-making.
  7. Ensure processes comply with healthcare regulations (e.g., HIPAA, CMS, Joint Commission).
  8. Partner with compliance and legal teams to mitigate operational risks.
  9. Support change initiatives and assist staff through transitions.
  10. Provide training and documentation to ensure successful adoption of new processes.
  11. Serve as a point of contact for process-related inquiries and escalations.
  12. Facilitate communication between departments to ensure alignment and collaboration.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Nursing, Business, or related field.
    • 1+ years experience in healthcare operations, process improvement, or quality management.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in process mapping tools and data analysis software.
    • Ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple tasks.
    • Microsoft Office
    • Ability to travel outside of Nashville for facility visits.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies
  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt or equivalent certifications
