Essential Job Duties |
The department is responsible for providing reliable electrical utility services to campus, ensuring safe operations, maintaining infrastructure, and supporting the university's energy and sustainability goals.
Position Summary / Primary Purpose of Position
The Administrative Support Specialist provides comprehensive administrative, business management, and personnel support to the team, which includes approximately 30 employees.
This position plays a key role in:
- Managing daily office operations.
- Overseeing work management processes, including purchases, invoicing, and equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Supporting budget development and monitoring an annual revenue budget exceeding $40M.
- Setting up customer data used for customer billing.
- Assisting with record keeping, contract monitoring, asset management, and compliance reporting.
- Coordinating personnel-related functions such as TIM (Time Information Management), employee parking permits, and state vehicle maintenance schedules.
The role requires independent judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to apply university policies and procedures effectively while supporting multiple priorities. |
