Essential Job Duties |
The
temporary Business Services Coordinator will provide operational and administrative support to the Division of Academic and Student Affairs (
DASA) Finance team. This position will play a key role in supporting student payroll processes, financial reconciliations, and general administrative functions to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely completion of tasks. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Student Employment & Payroll Support
- Process student payroll data entry and maintain accurate records.
- Communicate with student employees and supervisors via email regarding payroll matters.
- Assist with onboarding student employees, including I-9 verification, enrollment checks, budget alignment, and full-time equivalency (FTE) tracking.
- Ensure compliance with university policies and federal/state regulations regarding student employment.
Financial Administration & Reconciliation
- Serve as PCard reconciler for DASA Finance, Human Resources, and Technology units.
- Coordinate monthly reconciliation processes, ensuring documentation accuracy and policy compliance.
- Initiate monthly payments for recurring billings, including PCard payments
- Track and administer monthly audits for gift/prize disbursements.
Administrative Support & Communication
- Manage general email communications for DASA Finance and Payroll offices.
- Support asset management administration, including recordkeeping and tracking.
- Administer Mobile Communication Device payments and maintain accurate payment records.
- Provide general administrative support to the finance team as needed.

- Previous experience at NC State University is a plus, but not required.
- Familiarity with PeopleSoft financial and hr systems, NC State spending guidelines, and the chart of accounts.
- Prior experience performing similar financial and administrative tasks.
