The University of Virginia seeks a Director for Carr's Hill Operations. The Director serves as the steward of Carr's Hill, the home of the University of Virginia's president, Carr's Hill was completed in 1909 and every University president has lived in the home and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Virginia Landmarks Register. The Director will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations of the public and private spaces of the main home, outbuildings, and property grounds while planning and implementing activities that support daily and long-term future use of the home. This role will act as liaison on behalf of the president and the presidential family between stakeholders, constituents of the University, guests, and community members. The Director will coordinate small events on behalf of the president and will provide support for larger events by ensuring the readiness of space and supplies while promoting and facilitating the overall mission of Carr's Hill as a welcoming and inclusive space. Physical Demands: The job requires traveling some distance to manage internal and exterior household affairs; and occasionally lifting of up to 20 lbs. Salary Range: $70,000 - $85,000 commensurate with education and experience. Exemption Status: This is an exempt-level, benefited position.
