Member Account Specialist - 1-Year Contract

Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-orientedMember Services Representativeto join our team. This role supports both our call center and designated branch locations, providing exceptional service to our members through phone and in-person interactions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in banking and financial services, excellent communication skills, and a passion for helping others.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Provide professional, courteous, and efficient service to members via phone and in person.
• Inform, educate, and advise members on financial products and services tailored to their needs.
• Process transactions including transfers, withdrawals, loan payments, credit card payments, and check orders.
• Assist with account inquiries, payroll deductions, direct deposits, stop payments, and credit card issues.
• Promote credit union products and services through cross-selling based on member needs and department goals.
• Resolve member inquiries and problems with patience and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with all DECU and regulatory policies, including Risk Management, BSA, OFAC, and Information Security.
• Complete all required ongoing training and report any policy violations as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the manager.

Who You Are:

As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team:

• Minimum1+ years of experiencein banking or financial services.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Prior experience in customer service and/or problem resolution.
• Proficient in operating computers and standard office equipment.
• Strong attention to detail, especially with numbers and names.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task and manage complex conversations.
• Active listening and problem-solving skills.
• Consistent delivery of professional and courteous service.
