Lead and manage the function providing oversight of all matters relating to the maintenance and enhancement of internal operations processes and systems to support HMSA's operational and related programs. Governance and relationship oversight of service providers which includes ensuring all new benefits/processes are implemented accurately while corrective actions are also completed according to Service Levels Agreements (SLAs). Project management leadership for all improvement/corrective activities for the claims area. Includes working effectively with internal and external partners to ensure timelines and quality standards are achieved as expected. Develop and lead an effective unit by effectively recruiting, developing, managing performance, and motivating staff to meet organizational goals. Interview, hire, mentor, develop staff for the Internal Operations job family Implement creative recruiting techniques to address staffing needs Administer disciplinary actions and termination when necessary Identify training needs & oversee development of training programs Promote career growth through coaching and development opportunities Recognize achievements and inspire staff toward higher levels of performance and quality Performs all other miscellaneous responsibilities and duties as assigned or directed.
