Job Description

The College of Agriculture, Food & Natural Resources (CAFNR) Office of Research seeks an Executive Assistant to support the Associate Dean for Research which includes the Agriculture Experiment Station with our four regional Research, Extension, and Education Centers (REECs) across the state of Missouri.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain an executive's calendar, including scheduling meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
  • Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.
  • Screen and direct incoming calls, emails, and other communications.
  • Coordinate domestic and international travel, including logistics, itineraries, and expense reports and reimbursements.
  • Manage procurement card reports.
  • Handle confidential information with integrity and discretion.
  • Act as a liaison between the executive office and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Support special projects and other administrative tasks as needed.
  • Maintains inventory of office supplies and equipment, initiating purchase requests as needed.
  • Maintain the office vehicle ensuring regular maintenance.
  • Responsible for webinars including scheduling and publishing notices while serving as host.
  • As with all positions, involvement with other duties and responsibilities may be expected in order to support the mission and purpose of the University of Missouri.
Shift

8:00 a.m - 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 3 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
  • 3 years prior experience as an Executive Assistant, or similar role.
  • Excellent time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a proven ability to draft and edit professional correspondence, reports, and presentations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with a diverse range of individuals with diplomacy, tact, and a high level of customer service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and collaboration tools like Zoom, Slack, or Teams and Qualtrics.
  • High level of professionalism and discretion.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to anticipate and address needs.
Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $18.87-$34.87 hourly.

Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
