CADD Technician

STV is seeking a CADD Technician with5+ years of relevant experience for a position with our Transportation Group.

Primary responsibilities will include:

• Create and update design plans: Develop detailed roadway and transportation plans using OpenRoads, Open Buildings, Civil 3D, AutoCAD and MicroStation.

• Generate cross-sections, and construction drawings, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.

• Collaborate with engineers: Work closely with civil engineers to translate design concepts into accurate CADD drawings and models.

• Ensure compliance and accuracy: Perform quality checks to ensure all designs meet state DOT and federal standards while maintaining accuracy.

• Manage project files: Organize and maintain drawings and models using ProjectWise or similar document management systems.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in drafting and designing for civil engineering projects.
• Experience with Metropolitan Transit Agency, Port Authority, NJ Transit and NYSDOT.

• Proficiency in:
  • OpenRoads
  • OpenBuildings
  • MicroStation
  • Civil 3D
  • AutoCAD

• Familiarity with file management and organization within ProjectWise or similar document management systems.

• Ability to interpret engineering plans, specifications, and design guidelines.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in all deliverables.

• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and project managers.
