You'll help deliver modern and intelligent Microsoft Calendar experiences across Monarch and Teams, accelerating innovation and creating a funnel for premium value through Places and Copilot.This role offers the opportunity to work on critical backend services that support millions of users daily, while also shaping the future of hybrid work through AI-powered scheduling, asynchronous collaboration, and location-aware coordination. ResponsibilitiesIntegrate personal and organizational time/location data into the M365 graph to power Copilot and agent-based assistance.Collaborate with product managers, designers, and partner teams to define user requirements and deliver intelligent scheduling solutions that support hybrid work coordination.Contribute to the identification of dependencies, and the development of design documents for a product area with little oversight as well as break down larger work items into smaller work items and provides estimation.Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) working on-call to monitor system/product feature/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions and gains approval to restore system/product/service for simple problems.Stay current with emerging technologies and AI advancements to deliver transformative Copilot experiences that support calendar planning.Design and implement scalable backend services that power Microsoft Calendar experiences across Monarch and Teams, integrating deeply with substrate APIs, Copilot, and Places.Drive architectural decisions and engineering excellence to ensure high reliability, performance, and security in alignment with Microsoft's Secure Future Initiative (SFI).Participate in design reviews, code reviews, and agile planning processes. |
