Position Summary |
This position will serve as a Clinical Research Assistant within multiple projects, including the Adverse Pathways to Substance Use Multi-systems Stress Response in Adolescents Research Project, which are multidisciplinary psychiatry research project focused on examining neurobiological and physiological signatures of stress response profiles that contribute to anhedonia and anxiety in adolescents.
The Clinical Research Assistant will assist with conducting study visits, collecting, entering, and coding study data.
The Clinical Research Assistant will also assist with the preparation and submission of regulatory documents, including Institutional Review Board (
IRB) applications, amendments.
The Clinical Research Assistant will also work closely with the study data manager to extract relevant data form the study Redcap database when necessary for the preparation of data for conference submissions and paper preparations. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Demonstrated strong organization skills as well as strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work and communicate with diverse populations effectively and professionally. Ability to work independently as well as function as part of a team. Ability to accommodate a flexible schedule to carry out data collection sessions in evenings and weekends when necessary.
Proficient with REDCap, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Teams, and Word.
Prior experience assisting in the development of
IRB applications and other regulatory documents, familiarity with diagnostic criteria for anxiety disorders (
DSM-5 or
ICD-11), and experience using standardized assessment tools.
Previous experience recording and processing physiological data (electrocardiogram, pulse, etc..).
Demonstrated previous experience working with adolescents in a healthcare or research setting is required. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
Previous experience as a clinical research coordinator or similar role in a research or healthcare setting, preferably in the field of psychiatry, adolescent mental health, or substance abuse research, is preferred. |
