Overview

The Training Manager is responsible for creating and delivering engaging, informative and timely training sessions that educate our customers at Costco and other growing retail customers. The sessions will take place via webinar, or in person at regional and national events. The sessions will focus mainly on Philips Hearing Solutions and other Demant technology.

The Training Manger is someone with advanced skills in training content development, with in-depth understanding of the principles of instructional design. The ideal candidate is also proficient in audiology training delivery in both small and large group presentations and can collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. This position emphasizes content creation (70%), complemented by training delivery responsibilities (30%).The role requires a self-motivated professional who is internally collaborative and externally dynamic in representing the company.



Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging training content by applying adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, ensuring accuracy, attention to detail and the use of compelling storytelling techniques to enhance learning engagement and knowledge retention.
  • Provide web-based individual or group and in-person (during regional and national events) trainings on Philips Hearing Solutions and other Demant brands' products and fitting software.
  • Conduct dynamic and motivating workshops and seminars on advanced audiological topics at national and regional seminars. Audience size can range from one person to hundreds. Workshops will have a web-based component.
  • Deliver Continuing Educational Unit (CEU) training sessions and execute the CEU administration process for each training session delivered. Partner with Senior Marketing Director to seamlessly deliver ongoing education.
  • Measure the effectiveness and impact of training and use the data to continuously improve training delivery.
  • Build Costco Hearing Care Professional's (HCP) competencies in counseling, fitting, and fine-tuning of the Philips Hearing Solutions portfolio and other Demant branded products and to motivate them to use our products and accessories.
  • Interact and build strong partnership with Costco Senior Management and Training staff in order to be the "go to" education and training expert, answer key questions, conduct new product presentations and deliver training sessions.
  • Engage and consult in quarterly Regional Sales meetings to influence the direction of the sales and training efforts for the SBO Hearing sales organization.
  • Actively leverage knowledge base and deep expertise to participate in training meetings as necessary to shape and influence the development of effective training materials.
  • Lead development of effective training materials in various formats (digital, PowerPoint, audio, etc.). Must be highly proficient in using various software programs, especially MS Office.
  • Assist in onboarding new Account Managers; conduct appropriate 1:1 coaching of new Account Managers.
  • Communicate with customers and Demant staff within the following standards:
    • Voice-mail and E-mail returned within 1 day.
    • Call reporting sent within 2 days.
    • Expense reports and special information requests sent within 7 business days.
  • Must be able to prioritize and organize planning with a national scope.
  • May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.


Qualifications

  • A minimum of five years of experience fitting hearing devices for patients is required.
  • At least two years of experience as a Hearing Aids Account Manager or Training Manager is preferred.
  • A Master's degree in Audiology is mandatory.
  • At least two years of experience in content and training development is preferred.
  • Exceptional public speaking and presentation skills are essential.

The pay range for this position is expected to be between $91,638.40 to $130,912 per year; however, while the salary range is effective as of the date of this posting, fluctuations in the job market may necessitate adjustments to pay ranges. Further, final pay determinations will depend on various factors, including but not limited to experience level, knowledge, skills, and abilities. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as bonus, commissions, or discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered.
