HVAC Specialist Technician

Advantage xPO is seeking an experienced HVAC Systems Technician in Greenville, SC. Pay: $38.00 - $41.45/hr

Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

The HVAC Systems Technician is responsible for completing preventative maintenance (PM) and performing repairs on facility HVAC and electrical systems. This role requires advanced technical skills in HVAC, electrical distribution, automation, electronics, and motor controls. Candidates should have experience with low-voltage systems, fire alarms, voice/data systems, and understand NEC, local codes, safety regulations, and EMCOR standards. You will regularly lead high-impact projects and influence facility policies and program development.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, organized work environment and follow company/customer safety protocols.
• Attend and pass certification training for equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Design, evaluate, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, controls, and automation components.
• Calculate heating and cooling requirements and interpret plans accordingly.
• Replace faulty electronics (PCBs, relays, contractors, control buttons) and install power wiring/conduit for lighting, devices, and building equipment.
• Ensure compliance with all building codes, state/federal guidelines, and company policies.
• Coordinate work with other trades and team members.
• Complete accurate and timely paperwork related to maintenance and service activities.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of related HVAC experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Relevant certifications and licenses required; valid driver's license required.
• Strong reading, writing, and communication skills to prepare reports and interact with teams.
• Technical proficiency in HVAC systems, electrical systems, automation, and blueprints.
• Ability to lift and move up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, climbing, stooping, and reaching.
