THE POSITION

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This is an excellent opportunity for your keen sense of trends and you alertness for aberrations to shine! You will expected to research, process, and maintain accurate payment records; review and discuss various fiscal reports, guidelines, and requirements; and communicate with external stakeholders to ensure all details are accurate and to provide phone support. Your duties will also involve working closely with internal and other departmental teams to aid in a variety of processes and investigations. Work relies on your skills with databases, office equipment, and systems; recordkeeping; and written and verbal communication. Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Scranton. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
  • An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.
  • Applicants will be considered to have met the educational requirements once they are within three months of graduating with a qualifying degree.

Other Requirements:

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.
