Your Opportunity
The Warehouse Lead orders medications, supplies, and vaccines for inventory and direct purchases. Maintains an adequate supply inventory with minimum dollar investment. Continues to search out high quality low cost suppliers and maintains an excellent supplier relationship with Ag Provision.
Core Responsibilities
- Safety - Observes safety and Injury Prevention System (IPS) policies; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Responsible for complying with all environmental laws and EMS policies to which Murphy-Brown subscribes.
- Maintains and updates our MSDS platform with the 3E Company.
- Purchases all inventory supply items as required supporting targeted inventory levels.
- Maintains accurate inventory records of medication, supplies and vaccines.
- Receives orders from Farms, Production and Service persons for medication, supplies and vaccines.
- Purchases special items not included in normal inventory.
- Enters receipts and issues into the JD Edwards software platform.
- Weighs, counts and measures items monthly through the performance of a physical inventory.
- Assists Purchasing Manager in disposition of obsolete inventory.
- Restocks shelves from inbound freight.
- Fills requisitions from call, fax, email and walk in Customers on a daily basis.

Qualifications

- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school with an emphasis of studies in business; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid North Carolina Driver's License - Class C
- Forklift Certification. Must demonstrate punctuality and dependability.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
