Ability to set up and operate manual welding equipment, interpret blueprints, ensure quality control, and work together with team members to meet production goals. Primarily MIG welding on mild steel from 20 gauge up to 1/4-inch thickness. Stainless and aluminum welding competency a bonus. You'll also be responsible for basic machine maintenance, optimizing welding sequences, following standard work, and performing one over one inspection with fellow welders. Use of precision and conventional measuring tools is required, in addition to following all safety rules and safe working practices.

1st and 2nd shift opportunities available.

Job Summary:

  • MIG weld on mild steel from 20 gauge up to " thickness
  • Complete weld jobs using different fixtures/jigs, open table set up, and work instructions.
  • Ability to read weld symbols, blueprints, and perform necessary job set ups to ensure customer specifications are met.
  • Ability to qualify to necessary weld specifications including AWS, ASME IX, and NAVSEA welding certifications.
  • Able to use conventional and precision measuring tools.
  • Follow safety rules and use safe work practices.
  • Ability to comply with all quality policies, specifications, and instructions.
  • Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on equipment and machines.
  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, while following safety regulations.



Education and/or Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing/welding environment.



Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for the duration of work shift
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
  • Flexibility to work overtime if needed.
