Other benefits include Health and Family Care leave for both union and non-union employees. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Monitors employee's attendance and notifies manager when disciplinary action is required. Assists with preparing documents for attendance violations manager when disciplinary action is required
- Assists with the admirative functions of recruitment including updating job descriptions, posting open positions internally, and scheduling interviews.
- Assists with managing candidate flow and organization in the applicant tracking system.
- Helps with screening entry level candidates for positions.
- Assists with the administrative functions of onboarding, including scheduling post screenings.
- Coordinates new hire start dates; communicates information for confirmed starts to appropriate parties and schedules and performs HR new hire orientations.
- Processes new hire paperwork and timely files the paperwork away.
- Maintains records and tracking for various reports and projects.
- Accurately maintains employee files and records. Performs periodic audits of employee files to ensure accuracy.
- Maintains strict confidentiality of all sensitive employee/human resource and organizational related matters.
- Assists with various other clerical duties for the HR department and other departments as needed.
EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- High school diploma required.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
- 5+ years of prior Office Administration experience preferred.
- 1+ years of prior Human Resources experience and/or payroll time and attendance experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work as a part of a departmental and cross-functional team.
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
- Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.
- Visual acuity and ability to read small print.
- Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.
- Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment.
- Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.
