oLead and participate in customer interviews, journey mapping sessions, and focus groups to gather firsthand insights into user needs, pain points, and motivations. oAnalyze user journeys and customer behaviors to identify opportunities for streamlining experiences and enhancing satisfaction. oSynthesize findings into actionable insights that directly influence product priorities and improvements.
oWork with Product and UX teams to develop, document, and validate user stories, use cases, and scenarios that reflect real-world usage and critical workflows. oAnalyze qualitative feedback from usability testing, beta programs, and customer support interactions to refine user experiences. oCollaborate with UX researchers to translate user feedback into specific feature enhancements or adjustments.
oAttend relevant industry events, conferences, and webinars to gain insights into evolving customer needs, competitor strategies, and market trends. oConduct in-depth competitive analysis, assessing feature sets, pricing models, user feedback, and market positioning of competing products. oPresent findings to the product team, highlighting key opportunities for differentiation and areas where our product can better meet customer demands. oDevelop market value scenarios to consider both existing market expansion and new market entry and provide quantitative analysis around available market and how the
oRegularly analyze product performance metrics, including usage patterns, feature adoption rates, customer retention, and churn data. oCreate and maintain dashboards to visualize product performance and track the effectiveness of changes in product features. oUse quantitative data to validate hypotheses from customer interviews and journey analysis, ensuring product decisions are well-rounded and data-informed.
oPartner with Product Managers to refine the product roadmap, ensuring that customer needs, market opportunities, and competitive insights are factored into prioritization. oParticipate in quarterly roadmap planning, presenting insights gathered from customer interactions, journey analysis, and market research to guide strategic decisions. oHelp define key performance indicators (KPIs) for new features and product initiatives, monitoring success post-launch and recommending further adjustments.
oWork closely with Marketing to align messaging with product benefits and customer needs, contributing insights on target audiences and use cases. oCollaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to gather insights from the field, ensuring the voice of the customer is represented in product decisions. oServe as a liaison between product and support teams to identify and track recurring customer issues, feeding insights back into the product development cycle. Your background:
oBachelor's degree in Business, Statistics, Economics, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred. o3+ years of experience in product analysis, business analysis, customer research, or a similar analytical role with exposure to customer insights.
oProficiency in data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, Power BI, Python) and experience with product analytics platforms (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude, Google Analytics). oStrong skills in data visualization and storytelling, with experience creating clear, actionable insights from complex data. oFamiliarity with journey mapping tools and methods (e.g., Smaply, Miro) and UX research tools (e.g., UsabilityHub, UserTesting).
oExceptional communication skills, with an ability to effectively present data insights and user stories to stakeholders across the organization. oProven experience working cross-functionally and building relationships with teams such as Product, UX, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success.
oKnowledge of Agile methodologies and tools like JIRA, Confluence, or Aha!. oPragmatic Institute Certified (PMC) or other product management certifications are a plus. Key Attributes for Success:
