Job Title: Aerospace TIG Welder Location: Ft. Worth, TX 76114 Shift: 2nd Shift: 3:30pm - 12:00am Duration: 6+ months Payrate: $18/hr. to $25.00/hr. on W2 without benefits Note: Aircraft type welding experience. TIG welding -- Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Inconel, Titanium. Ability to fuse thin metal. Sheetmetal type background. Weld test required'. Job Description: Performs manual welding utilizing standard process methods and equipment on various types of stainless steels in the fabrication or repair of assigned parts and products. Reads, interprets and understands product and process drawings, procedures, weld symbols, and quality requirements and applies this to work performed. Makes adjustments, within procedural limits, to fine-tune the process in order to achieve product conformance. Obtains and maintains all required qualifications and certifications in stainless steels and Inconel. Gains ability to perform basic set-up. Education: Requires High School diploma or equivalent and one to three years of verifiable welding experience including TIG welding for stainless, Inconel, and titanium. Gas tungsten arc welding (GTAW) experience with aerospace or precision fabrications is desired.
