Human Resources Business Partner

The Human Resources Partner serves as a strategic and hands-on HR professional supporting both employees and leadership. This role will provide guidance across the full spectrum of HR functions, including employee relations, talent acquisition, performance management, compensation, compliance, benefits and culture initiatives. The HR Partner builds strong partnerships with business leaders to align people practices with organizational objectives while fostering a positive, inclusive and compliant work environment. This position will be required to be on-site at the Philadelphia office a minimum of 4 days a week.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Employee Relations & HR Partnership

  • Serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, providing coaching and guidance on performance, conduct, and policy application.
  • Lead or support investigations of employee concerns and recommend appropriate resolution in alignment with company policy and employment law.
  • Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, retention, and career development.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, inclusion, and collaboration.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Partner with managers to develop effective recruiting strategies for open roles.
  • Support full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and selection as needed.
  • Facilitate a seamless onboarding and orientation experience for new hires.
  • Collaborate with leadership on workforce planning and talent pipeline development.
  • Assist with the ADP Employee Portal administration.
  • Verifies I9 documentation and e-Verify, including coordination of offsite I9 completion.
  • Maintain employee personnel e-files.

HR Programs & Compliance

  • Administer and provide support for performance management, merit reviews, and development planning.
  • Assist with benefits administration, policy development, and employee communications.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Support HR projects such as job descriptions, compensation benchmarking, engagement surveys, and diversity & inclusion initiatives.

Strategic Support

  • Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to leadership to inform business and people strategies.
  • Act as a change agent, helping teams adapt to organizational growth and transformation.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership on initiatives that enhance culture, retention, and organizational effectiveness.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university, and 3-5 years professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Life Sciences experience required.
  • Strong technical skills, intermediate to advanced experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with an ability to meet everchanging deadlines.
  • Experience with HRIS and ATS platforms; ADP Workforce Now a plus.
  • PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP preferred.
