Sr IT Quality Engineer
Sr IT Quality Engineer is a quality advocate, champion, and evangelist. This individual represents the compliance, quality, and plan across teams as our agile and DevSecOps practices continue to mature. The Sr IT Quality Engineer is responsible for defining, implementing, and managing quality practices within the organization. The incumbent will also support teams that need assistance in test coaching and training. Position Responsibilities Design and Methodology
- Assist in the overall quality engineering practice development.
- Coach the QE policy, strategy, and playbooks to support teams adopting QE.
- Contribute suggestions around new QE tools and techniques.
- Combine QE strategy with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline strategy.
- Ensure that proper test environments and test data management solutions are represented in project planning.
- Coach teams on QE policy, strategy, and playbooks.
- Train teams on best automation guidelines practices.
- Collaborating with the project team to develop solutions.
- Implement new QE tooling on teams.
- Assist with manual and automated testing when required.
Planning and Organizing
- Create compliant, effective, and streamlined test strategy and test approach.
- Complete test data and test environment planning.
- Administer test management project.
- Establish a practice that creates testable stories.
- Assist in adopting automated testing and CI/CD integrations to support DevSecOps.
- Estimating QE effort within a project.
- Contribute to the overall enterprise test strategy.
- Work closely with the TCOE (Testing Center of Excellence) on QE strategy.
Risk Management
- Coach teams, especially Automation Engineers and testers and test leads in the practice of quality engineering.
- Ensure that teams are following quality governance guidelines.
- Report inefficiencies or risks observed through project work to the central QE organization.
- Establish and maintain code quality standards.
Administration
- Support the QE tools.
- Support the QE policy, strategy and playbooks including documentation.
- Record working time across projects.
- Track progress and metrics across key continuous delivery metrics and quality metrics.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a technology related field or High School Diploma or GED and 12 years progressive relevant experience
- 6 years of overall technology experience
- 5 years of in test automation engineering
- 5 years of hands-on experience in quality assurance work
- 4 years of API and/or mobile experience
- 4 years of testing web/eCommerce applications constructed using modern web frameworks such as React, node, typescript, and related technologies
- 4 years of selenium (or similar robust toolkit) testing experience
- ISTQB: Certified Tester Test Automation Engineer (CT-TAE) preferred

Work Best Category: Category C - Days in the office will either be designated days or will vary week to week from 2-5 days
Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - Friday
