- The Telecommunications Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring timely, efficient communications and IT support to hundreds of users in a high-security environment. You will directly contribute to the operational readiness and effectiveness of federal law enforcement operations.
- The selected candidate will strengthen their expertise in telecommunications and IT IT service management, federal contract execution, and customer engagement.
Typical Day: The candidate will provide telecommunications and IT support for the FBI's Critical Incident Response Group (CIRG). Required Qualifications:
- Five (5) years documented experience in telecommunications, communication systems technician support, including but not limited to: electrical, mechanical, computer science systems
- Shall be able to carry communications equipment up to 70 lbs
- Shall be able to climb on or under small or large vehicles
- Top Secret clearance with eligibility to obtain SCI access
Desired Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of telecommunications management;
- Ability to develop and implement mission-specific communication plans;
- Have a working knowledge and demonstrate experience with the operational procedures used for a Tactical Operation Center (TOC) or equivalent operational center;
- Operational knowledge of cryptographic encryption devices;
- Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and understanding of deployment, operation, and maintenance of video teleconferencing systems.
- Ability to perform general maintenance and cleaning on vehicles and facilities.
