Oversee launch and tip sheets to ensure quality, accuracy, and compliance with sales requirements. Work with the central metadata team on regular metadata audits of Holt titles.
  • Interdepartmental Collaboration: Partner with editorial and managing editorial on maintaining schedules for manuscript submission and delivery; with art on cover and interior artwork; and with publicity and marketing on promotional materials and schedules. Manage special publishing processes internally, such as cover reveals, book club rollouts, embargoes, and stickering. Ensure all teams are aligned on project goals and timelines.
  • Rights Management: Oversee galley quantities and distribution. Manage permissions licenses and liaise with Legal and Contracts on matters such as reversions and cancellations.

What you'll bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in publishing operations or a related field, preferably within a commercial trade publisher.
  • Meticulous attention to detail is paramount.
  • Strong command of publishing-specific software and systems (e.g., Biblio, Cognos, Therefore, RSuite, CoreSource) and project management tools.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, from creative teams to finance professionals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. The capacity to anticipate and resolve operational bottlenecks and unexpected issues with a calm and resourceful approach.
  • A flexible and adaptable mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Based on the level and years experience, this role will have an annual salary of $60,000-$80,000.
