Your Role at Acousti

The Acoustical Ceiling Foreman is responsible for supervising construction operations related to acoustical ceiling installations across commercial and government projects. This role ensures that work is performed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards while maintaining schedules and managing on-site personnel. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, deep knowledge of ceiling systems, and a collaborative, detail-oriented mindset.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Promote job site safety and rectify job site hazards
  • Direct activities concerned with production and maintain construction schedules
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues
  • Plan, organize, and direct activities for construction or maintenance of structures
  • Supervise employees and subcontractors on job sites
  • Ensure timely and accurate submission of job reports and documentation
  • Maintain daily written and photographic documentation of project status
  • Interpret project floor plans and construction drawings
  • Operate on scaffold, aerial lifts, ladders, and stilts
  • Use tools such as powder actuated devices and lasers
  • Work both indoors and outdoors, individually or as part of a team
  • Maintain project phasing and construction timelines
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your manager

What We're Looking for in You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • 4-5 years of experience as a Foreman in commercial acoustical ceiling construction
  • Knowledge of ceiling tile and grid installation materials, methods, and layouts
  • Experience with metal framing, drywall, FRP, finishing, and acoustical ceilings
  • Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks and maintain composure in high-pressure environments
  • Proficiency in construction methods, blueprint reading, and scheduling
  • Familiarity with Bluebeam, PlanGrid, PDF Expert, and Dropbox preferred
  • Willingness to travel or work outside home territory as needed
  • Reliable tools and transportation
  • Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs and stand/walk for 8 hours/day
  • Ability to pass a drug test

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing construction crews
  • Proven ability to manage schedules, documentation, and safety compliance
