Your Role at Acousti

The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing job costing, budgeting, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with industry-specific regulations. The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with project managers and leadership to deliver accurate financial insights that drive strategic decisions. This role involves leading or supporting key initiatives aligned with Acousti's goals. Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

* Manage and monitor job cost accounting processes including journal entries, reconciliations, WIP (Work-in-Progress) reporting, and small project schedules.

* Prepare and analyze financial statements using percentage-of-completion and WIP methodologies.

* Lead month-end close and year-end audit processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

* Oversee ECAC (Estimated Cost at Completion) schedules monthly, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

* Dive into CIE (Cost in Excess) data across projects to identify opportunities for financial and operational improvements.

* Develop and present monthly financial presentations to regional teams, including P&L statements, BIE/CIE analysis, AR aging reports, and other key metrics.

* Create and deliver financial projections, profitability analyses, and executive-level reports to support leadership decision-making.

* Drive reforecasting and budgeting efforts for regional construction projects.

* Implement and enhance internal controls to improve financial accuracy and operational efficiency.

* Ensure compliance with construction-specific accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

What We're Looking for in You

To succeed in this role, you should have:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

* 5+ years of accounting and finance experience, with a strong focus in the construction industry.

* Proficiency in construction accounting principles and job cost accounting.

* Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage Intacct or similar).

Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial modeling.

* Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
