Our client is seeking an Interim Manager of Procurement to lead Strategic Procurement and Deal Management on a contract basis. The focus of this role is to optimize vendor relationships, unlock cost efficiencies, and ensure that every deal supports long-term growth and profitability.This individual will work closely with senior leaders across Finance, Legal, Product, and Engineering to evaluate spend, negotiate enterprise-level contracts, and provide insights into how vendor strategies impact overall company performance. The role requires both strategic vision and tactical rigor to execute complex negotiations. Responsibilities: Lead strategic procurement and vendor management for major enterprise contracts, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes while maintaining strong vendor relationships. Partner with Finance, Legal, and business leaders to structure and negotiate deals across SaaS, cloud infrastructure, professional services, and other categories. Develop scalable procurement processes balancing speed, governance, and compliance while delivering measurable cost savings. Evaluate and benchmark vendor proposals, presenting clear risk/return analysis for executive decision-making. Support quarterly business reviews, long-range planning, and sourcing initiatives. Serve as the internal authority on vendor contracts, pricing benchmarks, and procurement strategy. Communicate P&L impact of vendor and deal decisions to Finance leadership. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field. 6+ years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, or commercial negotiations. Proven success negotiating large, complex enterprise deals (SaaS, cloud, professional services). Strong financial and analytical skills with ability to model scenarios and identify value drivers. Excellent written/oral communication skills, including executive presentation experience. Comfort working independently on multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced environment. Hands-on experience with procurement or contract management platforms (Zip or equivalent).
