Yale New Haven Hospital, the flagship hospital of Yale New Haven Health and the primary teaching hospital for Yale School of Medicine, is seeking a full-time Daytime Hospitalist (Internal Medicine) to join our inpatient care team. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive inpatient care, including admissions, daily management, coordination of tests, and discharge.

• Lead care coordination with interdisciplinary teams - nursing staff, consultants, case managers, and ancillary services - for optimal outcomes.

• Contribute to education and mentorship, teaching residents, students, nurses, and allied health professionals through rounds, reports, and in-service sessions.

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, evaluate outcomes, and help implement process improvements in inpatient medicine.

• Serve as a professional leader and role model, participating in hospital committees, promoting best practices, and ensuring patient safety and satisfaction.

Education:

• M.D. or D.O., with completion of an ACGME - accredited Internal Medicine Residency.

• Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Internal Medicine.

• Must secure a Connecticut medical license, Controlled Substance Registration, and DEA certification.

• Must obtain attending medical staff privileges at respective YNHHS entity.

Experience:

• Two (2) years caring for medicine inpatients as resident and/or attending physician.

Licensure:

• Hold a valid Connecticut medical license,

• Connecticut Controlled Substance Registration and

• Federal Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) Certification.
