We're seeking a future team member for the role of "Production Services Application Support" to join our "Wealth Services Platform - Environment & Production Services" team. This role is in Jersey City, NJ. In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
- Experienced IT professional with proven record of Application monitoring, support, troubleshooting, and post-implementation review
- Respond to, diagnose, and resolve service disruptions
- Work closely with developers on continuous integration / continuous delivery solutions
- Conduct root cause analysis for complex production issues
- Should be willing to work evenings and weekends
- Monitor and review the incoming alerts from automated monitoring systems or applications and work on resolution.
- Respond to helpdesk queries and ensure that all service requests are addressed and resolved within SLAs.
- Participate in PTO CAB meetings and review the changes.
- Maintain the run books, SLA, Application recovery documents up to date.
- Follow the standard procedure to escalate incidents to the appropriate teams for resolution.
- Lead investigations, resolutions, root cause analysis for incidents/problems and engage the required groups including Infrastructure Support and Application Development teams (as needed).
- Identify new opportunities to streamline and improve recovery solutions.
- Identify repeatable manual tasks and lead efforts to automate.
- Support regulatory compliance or audit support activities as needed.
- Participated in Disaster recovery / Data Center Rotation activity as per the schedule
- Provide knowledge and training to new support personnel.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial. 8-10 years of diverse experience in multiple areas of information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
- Hands on experience in providing application support (L1/L2 level support).
- Programming Language - C#, JAVA, Python. Focus on maintaining programs and analyzing current processing for help desk inquiries as well as determining issue fixes.

The base salary for this position is expected to be between $83,000 and $179,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
