As a Software Integration Engineer with MTSI, you will provide support to SYD 85 S9/10. This position is in Colorado Springs, CO.
Your essential job functions will include, but may not be limited to:
  • Advise the SYD 85 staff on system architecture design, configuration management, and quality assurance processes to ensure robust and efficient operations.
  • Work closely with S-Staff teams, System Program Directors (SPDs), and Department of Air Force (DAF) Program Executive Officer (PEO) C3BM Stack IPT teams to ensure adherence to requirements and specifications for the DAF Battle Network.
  • Support integration efforts by ensuring seamless collaboration between system components, interfaces, and operational workflows.
  • Identify and address risks associated with system integration, development schedules, and quality assurance processes.
  • Conduct gap analysis to identify missing or misaligned requirements and implement corrective actions to align with mission objectives.
  • Resolve integration challenges by analyzing system interfaces and enhancing interoperability and communication.
  • Assess engineering workflows for inefficiencies and recommend improvements to optimize system design, integration, and testing procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 10 years with recent experience in developing software or managing software programs for real-time operating systems.
  • Proficient in software design, development, testing, integration, and quality assurance processes.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of data interface standards and communication protocols, including RS-422, RS-485, MIL-STD-1553, MIL-STD-1760, and Internet Protocol Communication.
  • Experience in Multi-Domain/Multi-Level Security architectures.
  • Previous experience with the Atlas, Kronos, and/or WarpCore programs.
  • Familiarity with coordination and workflow platforms such as Jira, Confluence, or similar software.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Rust, Java, Python or similar languages.
Certification Requirements:
  • Relevant software development, integration, or test certifications preferred.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in a technical field such as Computer Science, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Master's Degree in the same or similarly relevant technical area, or equivalent experience and/or certifications in systems integration, desired.
Security Clearance Level Required:
  • Active TS/SCI security clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility is required for this position.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
The pay range for this position in Colorado is $130,000/year to $160,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors. MTSI also offers a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits, dependent on the position offered. Base pay information is based on market location.
