Position Title: Senior Business Analyst

Reports to: IT Project Manager

Subsidiary: Leisnoi Professional Solutions, LLC

Location: Arlington and Falls Church, VA

Job Status: Regular Full -Time



Position Summary:

Leisnoi Professional Solutions, LLC has an immediate need for a an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Business Analyst with extensive experience in web application development. This leader will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business stakeholders and technical development teams, ensuring our web applications not only meet user needs and business objectives but also follow industry best practices and innovations.

Responsibilities and Duties



  • Assist in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business and technical requirements for web applications.
  • Lead efforts in gathering, analyzing, and documenting complex business and technical requirements for web applications.
  • Develop comprehensive user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.
  • Oversee the production of wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to visualize web application features, and provide recommendations for enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, advising on interface designs to align with complex business requirements.
  • Guide development teams to ensure thorough understanding and implementation of requirements.
  • Conduct advanced gap analysis between current and future state web application functionalities and develop strategic improvement plans.
  • Facilitate high-level requirements workshops and lead stakeholder interview sessions.
  • Maintain and ensure completeness and accuracy of project documentation, including advanced requirements traceability matrices.
  • Oversee the user acceptance testing and quality assurance processes, providing strategic insights for improvements.
  • Analyze web analytics data critically to identify areas for efficiency improvements and future development strategies.
  • Lead research efforts on industry trends and articulate best practices in web application development.
  • Lead agile development ceremonies, optimizing sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Design and develop training materials and documentation for end users, ensuring ease of understanding and compliance with organizational standards.


Basic Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred)
  • 10+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, specifically focused on web application development, including handling complex systems and solutions.
  • Proven experience in advanced requirements gathering, documentation, and collaboration with diverse development teams in dynamic agile environments.


Required Skills and Competencies



  • Basic understanding of web application architecture and development processes.
  • Expert understanding of web application architecture and development processes.
  • Strong proficiency in advanced requirements elicitation techniques and industry-standard documentation standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating sophisticated wireframes, user flows, and process diagrams.
  • Deep knowledge of user experience (UX) principles and securing best practices for web applications.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into clear, detailed functional and technical requirements.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, proficient in explaining intricate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency with requirements management and top-tier documentation tools.
  • Extensive experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Sound knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals, with an understanding of advanced capabilities.
  • Familiarity with major content management systems and web frameworks.
  • Experience in managing user acceptance testing and comprehensive quality assurance processes.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance (TS/SCI).
