Position Summary: The Senior Program Manager, IEHE, plays a vital leadership role in advancing the comprehensive mission of IEHE across three (3) domains, Research, Medical Education, and Clinical Systems. This position is instrumental in driving initiatives that collectively shape national health equity policy, through research and collaboration with the Office of Communications, Marketing and Government and Community Affairs, and fulfill the health equity imperatives of both IEHE and NYU Langone Health (NYULH). The Senior Program Manager reports to the Executive Director and provides high-level administrative and operational support, contributing to executive decision making, resource alignment and goal execution. The Sr. Program Manager leads the development, design and promotion of assigned programs and ensures appropriate integration of programmatic growth and action plans into the strategic initiatives and goals for the Institute. The role also includes direct supervision of a multidisciplinary team supporting the IEHE domains, ensuring that key deliverables are met with precision and excellence. He/She evaluates budget and funding source availability to prioritize operational support needs and staffing levels and incorporates logistics and stakeholder priorities into long-term program strategy and planning. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of NYULH/ NYU Grossman School of Medicine stakeholders, systems, and workflows to successfully bridge innovation, collaboration, and organizational stewardship. Works autonomously and with limited oversight to interpret and assure compliance with external regulatory and accreditation requirements and institutional policies, procedures and standards. Job Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership * Provide administrative oversight and direction of programmatic functions, strategic planning and financial management within the Education, Clinical and/or Research mission areas. * Provide direct project/program support and coordination of activities, as needed, to achieve program aims and meet program deliverables and deadlines. May coordinate activities and meetings across multiple projects and provide administrative support services to Program Directors, Health Equity and Quality Leads, Associate Directors and other departmental leadership as applicable Staff Management & Development * Supervise staff supporting IEHE's core domains; provides leadership, coaching, performance management, and guidance. * Lead recruitment, onboarding, and team building efforts to support IEHE functions. * Develop and implement mentorship and leadership development programs to cultivate the career development of biomedical professionals committed to health equity. * Manage all relevant administrative activities including evaluation ownership, payroll and timecard approvals and supervising all administrative staff within the assigned programmatic area Fiscal performance * Manage administrative and financial performance of assigned programs; ensure integration with overall mission-based budget and compliance with financial policies and procedures * Consider strategic priorities in allocation of resources and monitor programmatic financial processes for opportunities to maximize efficiency. * Develop appropriate financial tracking mechanisms to monitor expenditures and ensure revenue receipt and proper program assignment. * Identify potential gaps in funding and generate short and long-term plans for maintenance of program activities * Prepare summary analyses of programmatic financial reports for departmental leadership, as requested, to inform overall strategic initiatives and planning Program Development & Operational Excellence * Develop and deploy impactful programs advancing health equity across the NYULH enterprise. * Identify programmatic gaps and spearhead innovative initiatives to address them. * Oversee project planning, data collection, timelines, and progress tracking using standardized tools and operating procedures. * Participate in the development of long- and short-term departmental priorities and goals; identifies areas of weakness and opportunity for development as appropriate * Analyze and present program data for continuous quality improvement Stakeholder Engagement & System Representation * Serve as IEHE's liaison in cross-functional programmatic collaborations and system-wide initiatives. * Develop presentations, curriculum materials, and other resources in support of IEHE priorities. * Represent IEHE in communications planning, internal and external stakeholder engagements, and system committees. * Design, develop and participate in subcommittees and initiatives under the overall program mission area (Mentoring, Professional Development and Training, etc.) geared towards enhancing the experience and engagement of faculty, staff and trainees Special Projects & Thought Leadership * Leads special assignments and projects, including educational and operational initiatives. * Contributes technical expertise in organizational tools to improve project management and coordination across IEHE efforts. Data & Evaluation * Guide the standardization of data practices, including collection, sharing, and reporting. * Ensures data-driven approaches are embedded in program development and evaluation. * Regularly communicate with key achievements and milestone accomplishments of faculty, trainees, staff, and programs within the appropriate parties Communications * Collaborates with IEHE leadership and communication partners to design and sustain a comprehensive communications strategy for internal and external audiences. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field of work and 5+ years' related work experience. Candidates must be extremely organized, and detail oriented with an ability to work independently, multitask and delegate appropriately. Progressive experience in program/project coordination and strategic and financial planning is required. Preferred Qualifications: * Master's degree in business, Public or Healthcare Administration, Education, or related field * Minimum of five years of progressively responsible related experience including managing people, or equivalent combination of education and experience in this area. * Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards, hospital policies, procedures, and standards. * Demonstrable proficiency with Google Drive (Docs, Slides, Sheets, Calendar), Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Adobe Acrobat. * Demonstrated history of project management and ability to balance and effectively prioritize numerous projects from initiation to completion. * Effective oral and written communication skills, cultural awareness, discretion, and the ability to exercise professional judgment, particularly in sensitive situations. * Ability to interact effectively with all levels of staff and management and communicate effectively with both internal and external customers. * Experience in producing work independently while leading within a team environment Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization. NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $115,000.00-$130,000.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
