HX5 is currently seeking a Documentation Specialist to join our team in Cleveland, Ohio in support of the GEARS contract at NASA Glenn Research Center (GRC). This is a temporary position with a term of 10/1/25 - 12/31/25.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The selected candidate will support the Intelligent Control and Autonomy Branch (LCC) within the Communications and Intelligent Systems Division at NASA GRC. The LCC Branch specializes in developing and simulating advanced control technologies for aircraft propulsion systems to mitigate faults, improve system stability, reduce fuel burn, and enhance performance.

The selected candidate will support Electric Aircraft Propulsion (EAP) research. Responsibilities will include working in a team environment to generate a variety of technical documents.

Required Skills:

*Effectively communicates technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
*Strong background in writing technical documents.
*Experience presenting information on websites or other digital platforms.
*Experience drafting procedures, check sheets, and interface control documents for testing facilities.
*Maintain SharePoint site.
*Assist with creating space act agreements (SAA) or interagency agreements (IAA).

Other Desired Skills:

*Familiarity with NASA Style and AP Style writing.
*Familiarity with Electrified Aircraft Propulsion (EAP) technology.
*Good organizational skills.
*Ability to learn new job functions rapidly.

Education/Experience:

*Bachelor's degree with 3 to 5 years of experience.

Other Position Requirements:

*Proof of U.S. Citizenship or U.S. Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
*Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
