Position Summary
The primary purpose of this position is to support the Director for the Center of Aging & Health in coordinating and managing various activities within the department. This position manages calendar/schedules, meeting arrangements, travel; aids with accounting functions, and provides support for special projects and reporting responsibilities as needed. The variety of responsibilities includes responding to requests for information and data, managing administrative support for committees and professional meetings, and composing/transcribing/editing correspondence.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Associate's degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience ; or Bachelor's degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint & Excel. Must be computer savvy with excellent customer service, organizational skills and written and verbal communication. Must be punctual and reliable.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
Experience in providing office support.
Grants management knowledge not required but would be useful.
