GENERAL FUNCTION

As the Director of Trade Events, you will be a key leader responsible for the strategic vision, execution, and continuous enhancement of North America trade events for our Wholesale Eyecare/Eyewear brand. Your role will focus on collaborating with senior brand stakeholders and Head of our different departments, Global senior team members, service teams, and external partners to elevate our brand presence at major industry tradeshows and regional pop-up events. You will be instrumental in strengthening our brand reputation and driving engagement through innovative and impactful activations and experiences.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Planning and Budget Management:



  • Develop and lead the strategic vision for major industry tradeshows, ensuring alignment with corporate priorities and brand objectives.
  • Oversee budget management, including strategic allocation and optimization of resources to maximize cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze market trends and define a forward-looking vision for trade show visibility and EssilorLuxottica's presence.


Lead Event Execution and Coordination:



  • Lead and manage collaboration with agencies, brand partners, and vendors to execute trade events with excellence.
  • Oversee logistics management, including vendor coordination, payments, shipping, and on-site activations to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Facilitate high-level communication and coordination with senior brand partners, event organizers, and internal teams through strategic planning sessions and regular updates.
  • Lead presentation to top management.


Brand Representation and Asset Development:



  • Partner with executive leadership to set event priorities and align with the overall brand strategy.
  • Work with brand teams to develop and execute the vision for event messaging, graphics, and digital assets, ensuring brand consistency and integrity.
  • Ensure all event activities align with brand guidelines and objectives to maximize impact and audience engagement.


Process Optimization and Reporting:



  • Establish and manage processes for event timeline visibility and reporting.
  • Deliver timely and comprehensive reports on event performance, providing key metrics and insights for continuous improvement and strategic adjustments.


Regional Pop-Up Events and Presentation Support:

Lead the development and execution of regional pop-up events, ensuring a cohesive and consistent brand experience across all locations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelors Degree in Business or Marketing
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing or events.
  • Proven track record of strategic thinking and leadership in managing large-scale events and activations.
  • Expected to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Must be highly responsible, a self-starter and accountable for managing their time and responsibilities while spending time both in the office and on the road.

  • Project Management: High level of organization and coordination capabilities including managing orders, calendars, budgets, and event logistics
  • Deep understanding of Community relationships and brand authenticity


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS



  • Knowledge of and passion for event planning
  • Prior industry relationships and experience in event planning
  • Expertise in Powerpoint, SAP, and Excel
  • Project Management qualifications


Pay Range: 118,412.70-182,194.95

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
