Job Description/Tasks/Responsibilities

Provides department leadership, supervision and coordination of activities to workers responsible for calibrating, testing and repairing radiation instrumentation. Provides leadership, direction and support to the Instrumentation Supervisor.
Determines work priorities and communicates assignments to the Instrumentation Supervisor.
Communicates company policies and expectations to workers and enforces safety regulations.
Maintains required Instrumentation documentation.
Resolves any instrumentation issues that are reported by the Instrumentation Supervisor.
Works with the Instrumentation Supervisor to address performance issues.
Completes annual performance review for Instrumentation Supervisor and reviews performance evaluations drafted for all Instrumentation Technicians.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to interpret electronic drawings/schematics and troubleshoot radiation instruments
Strong attention to detail including use of precise calibration and test procedures
Strong organizational skills
Soldering and component level repair skills
Basic proficiency using Microsoft Office products

Physical/Mental Requirements and Working Conditions

Ability to sit
Ability to effectively communicate; speaking, reading, understanding, writing and hearing clear English; pass audiogram in hearing conservation program as required by location
Basic math and computer skills
Ability to work inside an office
Ability to perform highly repetitive motions with fingers, hands, wrists, and shoulders
Ability to work alone, work with others, and interact with the public
Ability to perform under deadline pressure
Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines

Minimum Education, Experience and Certification Requirements
*Education* High School Diploma or equivalent experience Some college preferred	*Certifications* None required
*Required Experience* Minimum of 5 years instrumentation experience Minimum of 5 years leadership/supervisory experience	*Preferred Experience* None
