POSITION SUMMARY

The Personal Trainer position will inspire, encourage, and excite clients as they embark, or continue their fitness journey. Personal Trainers will focus their time on tailoring personalized programs to fit each client's needs and goals. Personal Trainer's will conduct assessments, coach, develop individualized training plans, and build strong relationships with each client. This is a part-time seasonal role, compensation begins at $25.00/hour, increases based on certifications and experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Properly evaluate clients utilizing the FMS system
  • Utilize full health screen and Physical Assessment Readiness Questionnaire
  • Create and manage client programs
  • Create and maintain client schedule
  • Evaluate and guide clients as needed on proper techniques
  • Ability to communicate with a variety of clients effectively
  • Productively manage client sessions in a busy fitness environment
  • Assist the fitness center staff with maintaining safety, cleanliness, and service standards
  • Interact with members and visitors to the facility providing fitness center information
  • Additional duties as assigned


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education:

  • High School Diploma, or equivalent, required
  • Personal training certificate from an accredited school or university, required
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in related field, preferred


Experience:

  • Certifications in a variety of additional modalities is also welcome and encouraged: TRX, kettlebells, rehabilitation, stretch, mobility
  • 2+ years of training experience, preferred


QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • CPR/AED certification. Company will provide if needed
  • Ability to create and maintain client schedule
  • Proficient coaching ability
  • Team oriented
  • Excitement in client generation, client progression, and client retention
  • Strong communication skills


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
