The Practice Manager provides leadership and oversight of administrative operations at the Center for Positive Living/Infectious Diseases (CPL/ID) Clinic. This role is responsible for supervising administrative staff, managing daily workflows, optimizing patient access and experience, overseeing financial operations including budgeting and revenue cycle management, and supporting the implementation of strategic initiatives. The Practice Manager works closely with clinical and administrative leadership to ensure high-quality care, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities Include but Not Limited To
- Supervise front-line administrative staff including scheduling, performance evaluations, development, and corrective actions.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient patient flow, accurate registration, and timely billing.
- Manage practice budgets, monitor financial performance, and analyze key metrics to drive revenue growth and cost control.
- Ensure accurate charge capture, billing, coding, and reconciliation of services rendered.
- Coordinate financial counseling and ensure patients understand insurance benefits and payment responsibilities.
- Develop and implement internal controls for payroll, receivables, and payables.
- Improve workflows and systems to enhance service quality, patient satisfaction, and staff productivity.
- Track and report financial and operational data; address variances and identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in projects and quality improvement initiatives as assigned by the Administrative or Medical Director.
- Act as liaison between providers, patients, internal departments, and external agencies.
- Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in healthcare administration or clinical practice management.
- Strong knowledge of physician revenue cycle, billing practices, and patient access workflows.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EPIC preferred) and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage teams, implement process improvements, and drive results.
