The Quality Technician works directly with the Quality Manager maintaining and adhering to the Quality Management System. Essential Functions Performs regular audits of processes and product inspections on shopfloor Identifies and resolves product defects and non-conformities in production quickly Creates and resolves internal NCP's where applicable Participates with all functions to drive Continuous Improvement efforts on shopfloor Participates in root cause identification and corrective action for rework Supports Internal PPM reduction efforts with all functions Supports efforts to resolve past run nonconformances prior to start of new production runs Assist with internal ISO:9001 audits Assist with incoming inspection and RMA receiving Assist in training, as needed Assist in routine calibration efforts Competencies Attention to Detail Technical Capacity Decision Making Organizational Skills Communication and Listening Proficiency Initiative Teamwork Oriented Supervisory Responsibility This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and caustic fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Physical Demands Prolonged periods of sitting. Ability to concentrate visually for long periods of time. Travel No travel is expected for this position. Required Education and Experience Working knowledge of IPC-A-610 workmanship standard. 3-5 years of related experience and/or training. Preferred Education and Experience Associates degree in related field IPC-A-610 Certification General knowledge of IPC-7711B/7721 standard. General knowledge of IPC-A-600 standard.
