We're looking for a detail-oriented and solutions-driven Dispatch & Logistics Specialist to coordinate the movement of trucks, freight, and autos between ocean terminals, warehouses, and rail ramps. In this role, you'll be the heartbeat of our transportation operations-dispatching, scheduling, and problem-solving in real time to keep freight moving efficiently and satisfied customers. Your Role: Coordinate, Dispatch, Deliver Bringing accuracy, efficiency, and customer focus to every movement. Dispatch & Monitor - Manage containerized cargo through phone, email, and system updates to ensure timely, cost-effective delivery. Plan & Schedule - Prepare daily trucking and intermodal schedules; assign subcontracted drivers based on business needs. Track Performance - Monitor key metrics like drayage costs, per diem, and transit times while maintaining accurate logs and reports. Customer Communication - Confirm ETAs, voyage cut-off requirements, and proactively notify teams of changes to keep customers informed. Problem-Solve in Real Time - Anticipate and resolve transportation issues while recommending process improvements. Collaborate Cross-Functionally - Partner with vendors, service providers, and internal teams to deliver outstanding customer service. Support Reporting & Analysis - Prepare reports, reconcile rate structures, and provide data insights for continuous improvement. What You Bring to the Team An operational mindset, strong organizational skills, and a customer-first approach. Education Associate degree in Maritime Operations, Business, Transportation/Logistics, or equivalent experience. Experience 3+ years in dispatching and line haul carriage operations. Proven experience managing vendor relationships and delivering measurable results. Skills & Knowledge In-depth knowledge of dispatch operations and best practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication.
