The Position Job TitleLoan Documentation Analyst Job Description

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for providing support and performing various jobs as needed within the Centers of Excellence and Commercial Real Estate department.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS)

  • Determines the sufficiency of credit and collateral documentation, including proper lien perfection, proper approval authority, adherence to loan policy and regulatory requirements, loan agreement covenants, and other pertinent loan documentation.
  • Analyzes and identifies any associated risks during the review process.
  • Presents findings of the documentation review to the Loan Officer.
  • Conducts all communication in a constructive, professional, and positive manner.
  • Serves as a resource to loan officers, credit analysts, and other employees regarding loan policy and regulatory credit guidelines.
  • Work involves contact with people beyond immediate associates regarding routine matters for purposes of giving or obtaining information which may require discussion. External contacts take the form of service to the public (customers or vendors) requiring ordinary courtesy in helping with and exchanging information.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform other duties as requested by the Director of Centers of Excellence.
  • Complete all required bank Compliance Tests on a yearly basis.
  • Adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures, including confidentiality guidelines, and supports the bank's mission, purpose, and values.
  • Dresses professionally.

EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • One year to three years of similar or related experience preferred.

TECHNICAL/FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a wide range of people.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates dependability through good attendance and adherence
  • to timelines and schedules. Ability to manage increased pressure situations on occasion.
  • Ability to make appropriate judgments based on Bank policy and procedures.
  • Willing to work well with a wide range of people.
