Description A/P Project Coordinator Position Objective Providecomprehensive support to ProjectManagers and Accounting Manager, working as a team to assure successful project completion, comprehensive A/P processes, building or maintaining strong working relationships with our customers, support of our employees and contribute overall to the success of the Company. Job Functions * Plan, organize, and establish objectives and goals for projects assigned. * Assist Production Department with project procedures and general administration such as filings, documentation, signature requests/requirements, NTO/NOCs. * Participate in the review of the project, "Job Hand Off Package" * Create and control the contents of the Job File to include: *Apply for any required permits (to verify that all required permits are received before the job start). Also posted if required. * Matching packing lists; purchase orders with invoices; creating POs, reconciliation of POs and invoices, maintain payables list, compile and maintain vendor files. *This position will be responsible for leading and promoting continuous improvement initiatives and process improvement techniques. * Coordinate the flow and communications of paperwork and activity associated with any project. * Prepare pay requisitions. * Work with Project Manager to complete the close out package. * Perform basic accounting functions and assist with day-to-day operation of Accounts Payable functions/processes. *Provide effective leadership for the production department, i.e. teamwork, motivation, and positive employee relations. * Perform other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Experience (Essential) * High School Diploma or equivalent, college preferred *Minimum three (3) years of construction industry experience with emphasis on all facets of business including but not limited to customer relations, project administration. *Other critical skills include planning & organizing; problem identification/resolution, multi- tasking, follow-through skills to bring tasks to closure in a timely manner, priority setting, and having a sense of urgency in accomplishing tasks in a timely manner. * Strong attention to detail * Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint * Must have a valid driver's license *Ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with co-workers. Repetitive keying, typing. Occasional lifting not to exceed 25 pounds. Domestic Travel: Occasional, for purposes of training in operating units or visiting job sites.
