Medical Support Assistant - Pawnee - IHS

JOB SUMMARY: Provide Medical Support Assistant services for the Pawnee Indian Health Center

PRIMARY DUTIES:

This will be a full-time position. This position is to provide clerical tasks related to the administration with the Registration Department and to perform tasks including:

• Provide symptom screening for employees, contractors, patients and visitors at the Pawnee Indian Health Center
• Verify patient appointment status and location using the Electronic Health Record
• Assist with pandemic response efforts in various ways including data entry, contacting patients, mailing patient letters, etc.
• Provide intermittent clerical duties including answering phones, routing calls, taking messages and scheduling appointments
• Coordinate with Administration staff and Safety Officer on any unplanned events and visitors
• Coordinate with medical and ancillary staff on additional screening or services for patients
• Provide patients information on requesting appointments and obtaining services from PIHC departments
• Succinctly explain our policies and procedures in admitting access to our facilities

REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to pass background check
