Work Schedule:

Hybrid - Buffalo, NY Subcontract Manager The Subcontract Manager is responsible for managing the procurement of major sub-assemblies within the Military Aftermarket/Test Equipment department. This person will be an experienced contributor that works independently/under limited supervision. Applies advanced knowledge of job acquired through relevant and substantial work experience. Responsibilities: * Securing supplier capacity, delivering quality parts on-time at optimal total cost. * Develop risk abatement strategies to effectively manage commitments with a limited number of product qualified suppliers. * Develop sources of supply for major sub-assemblies. * Prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) to include Moog, technical, quality assurance and customer flow-down requirements. * Evaluates supplier proposals in comparison with others received to determine degree of compliance with requirements. * Lead negotiations for contracts. Must have the ability to discern, understand and account for complex terms & conditions that impact negotiations and long term effectiveness. * Lead project review meetings with suppliers to ensure quality and delivery commitments. * Track all Engineering Change Orders and ensure resolution prior to final delivery. * Act as a liaison to resolve problems regarding vender payments or contractual issues. * Prepare Purchase Order documentation to support Government Compliance Checklist requirements. * Requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving abilities to understand and facilitate complex supply chain decision making. * Maintain and foster effective supplier relationships. * Must possess an ability to work under pressure and be able to deal with a variety of tasks at any one time. Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree
  • Five years of relevant experience
  • A deep understanding of the theoretical concepts and principles of the department and how they relate to other areas of the business.

Salary Range Transparency:

Buffalo, NY $85,000.00-$120,000.00 Annually

Salary Range Disclaimer

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region-specific benefits.
