Summary:

The Product Manager III is a member of the Group Purchasing Organization and typically responsible for a larger product or set of products that make up a larger solution. This role are accountable for creating successful outcomes related to the product(s) they manage by championing the voice of the customer (VoC), ensuring customer insights drive strategic priorities, and guiding the work of one or more development teams (possibly in collaboration with one or more Product Owners). The Product Manager III must have a very good understanding of their business and product(s) and will own the roadmap and product deliverables for those product(s). This role is expected to proactively uncover and prioritize unmet user needs through customer engagement, define and communicate a clear product vision rooted in user insights, develop a detailed product strategy informed by customer feedback, prioritize features and initiatives, and ensure successful outcomes are aligned to business goals.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver business value through a robust, prioritized, and appropriately sequenced roadmap

  • Advocate for the Voice of the Customer (VoC): Regularly engage with external customers early and often to identify unmet needs, pain points, and opportunities for innovation.

  • Use customer feedback, data, and intuition to inform product decisions and enhance the customer experience.

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of product enhancements and other changes to ensure the product meets the needs of internal and external stakeholders

  • Proactively use customer insight, data, and intuition to identify and plan product improvements that will improve the customer experience and increase the value of the solution to the business.

  • Own the GTM strategy for every release by defining target customer segments, release timing, customer communications, and helping ensure the readiness of users, customer support, and commercial teams

  • Communicate early and often with product management leadership to help coordinate work across teams, helping ensure that changes in their area do not negatively impact other teams or other features within the larger solution

  • Actively collaborate with product management leadership and provide insight into higher-level cross-product roadmap and solution strategy

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders and other teams to understand user needs then devise and prioritize solutions in collaboration with their team(s) to meet those needs

  • Familiarity with competitor products, their value propositions, and capabilities

  • Plays a key role in delivering capabilities and features that support value-based care initiatives, healthcare supply chain optimization, and regulatory compliance.

  • Act as a leader within their product(s) and an evangelist of those product(s) across the company; works closely with sales, customer experience, customer service, marketing, pricing, and others to this end

  • Regularly engage with external customers early and often to understand requirements, apply information from user feedback sessions, and demonstrate new functionality to end users where appropriate.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education:

  • Requires broad training in fields such as healthcare, information technology, computer science, business administration, or similar vocations generally obtained through completion of a four-year bachelor's degree program.

Skillsets & Desired Experience:

  • Generally requires a minimum of seven (7) years related and progressively responsible experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager.

  • Should understand the basics of business process modeling, software development lifecycle planning, and Agile software development.

  • Experience in Healthcare or Pharmaceutical industry is desirable, with knowledge of value-based care, supply chain trends, and regulatory compliance.

  • Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization (directors, managers, engineers, quality assurance analysts, end users, etc.)

  • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams without formal authority

  • Ability to self-learn and seek out knowledge to improve understanding of technology solutions

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving, planning, analysis, teamwork, and organizational skills

  • Exceptional discovery and active listening skills to uncover customer insights and translate them into actionable strategies.

  • Technical Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to deliver scalable, innovative solutions that align with customer requirements.

  • Go-to-Market Excellence: Lead GTM strategies to ensure successful product adoption and customer satisfaction.

*This Salary Range reflects a National Average for this job. The actual range may vary based on your locale. Ranges in Colorado/California/Washington/New York/Hawaii/Vermont/Minnesota/Massachusetts/Illinois State-specific locations may be up to 10% lower than the minimum salary range, and 12% higher than the maximum salary range.
