Job Overview: This is a Full-Time, Operations Supervisor role based within the Pharmacy Department of Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center located in Livingston, NJ. The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the daily oversight and management of the operations within the pharmacy department. This role ensures the safe, efficient and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care. This role provides leadership to pharmacists, technicians and support staff, maintains compliance with regulatory standards and collaborates with multidisciplinary teams to promote optimal medication use. In an academic, community hospital setting, the Operations Supervisor also supports staff training, quality assurance initiatives, and coordination of experiential learning for pharmacy students and residents. Qualifications: Required: Completion of course at an accredited School of Pharmacy, with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD Minimum of 3 years of hospital experience Preferred: Leadership experience, staff supervision NJBOP Immunization licensure Board Certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties Certifications and Licenses Required: Registration in New Jersey as a pharmacist; current New Jersey licensure required and must be in good standing with NJBOP Scheduling Requirements: FT Days Essential Functions: Supervise day-to-day pharmacy operations, assign responsibilities and manage workload distribution Monitor workflow to optimize staffing, efficiency and patient care Ensure timely and accurate preparation, dispensing and distribution of medications Work collaboratively with pharmacy leadership to improve workflow and efficiency Ensure proper inventory management of narcotics Provide direct supervision, coaching and mentoring for pharmacists, technicians, residents and students Commitment to patient safety, regulatory compliance, and continuous quality improvement Experience with Pyxis and EPIC preferred At RWJBarnabas Health, our market-competitive Total Rewards package provides comprehensive benefits and resources to support our employees physical, emotional, social, and financial health.
