The E&C function's mission is to manage risks to our firm, our clients, and our people, while also enabling our firm's client impact and innovation. The E&C function is a globally integrated team within the second line of defense of our firm. McKinsey has an E&C program that is structured in a way that ensures that it is well designed, empowered tofunction effectively, and works in practice. Our E&C program includes a clear message thatmisconduct is not tolerated as well as policies, procedures, training, monitoring and consequence management to ensure the program is well-integrated into our firm's operations and workforce. This opportunity works in the Global Firm Practices pillar, which is responsible for instilling trust that our firm serves clients and communities with integrity and adheres to regulatory requirements. In this role, you will lead and oversee compliance within our Banking Practice to ensure our firm adheres to all regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for building, shaping, and driving a robust and comprehensive compliance program within the Banking Practice, partnering closely with senior leaders, client service teams, legal and risk functions. You will drive the compliance agenda including the continuous evolution of the program based on our firm's risk profile. You will also provide internal visibility to the ever-changing nature of the regulatory landscape and ensure appropriate enhancements to our ongoing programs and activities as needed. You will support the enhancement of tools, standards, and metrics on compliance matters (e.g., dashboards, systems, testing) and ensure geographic compliance leads have a holistic, integrated understanding of the relevant and specific regulatory areas for their regions and deliver expertise and guidance as needed. As a member of the firm Practice Compliance team, you will be expected to be a key contributor and thought leader within the function, in addition to driving key organizational, operational, or strategic initiatives, as relevant. You will be required to engage in regionally focused initiatives, such as infusing our integrity agenda, under the direction and coordination of our regional E&C leaders, the purpose of which is to raise awareness of and further our firm's E&C program, and other agreed-upon supporting activities in your region or location. You will collaborate with a cross-functional and senior stakeholder group (e.g., Client Service Professionals, Legal, Risk, etc.,) across our firm in a timely and efficient manner. You will articulate our regulatory compliance obligations to internal and external stakeholders, serving as an expert advisor to the broader E&C community and other stakeholders (e.g., Client Service Professionals and firm functions). Your qualifications and skills Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree(s) and/ or applicable professional certifications (e.g., Juris Doctor or CPA) preferred 5+ years of experience in Risk and/or Compliance and/or Banking 5+ years of experience in developing, driving and implementing holistic E&C programs (preferably in Banking) Working knowledge of federal, state, and global laws and regulations in Banking Demonstrates an entrepreneurial mindset to progress on ambiguous problems and see them through to resolution Influences and engages with all types of audiences to cultivate trust-based, peer-counselor relationships; fosters a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive environment for all colleagues; displays passion for people development and holds experience for leading global, multi-disciplinary teams Builds trust-based relationships with leaders within and outside of the team; collaborates generously with others and is sought after as a key thought partner Drives outcomes on cross-functional and complex topics and possesses exceptional organizational and project management skills Exhibits highest levels of discretion and judgment in safeguarding confidential materials Strong analytical, issue-spotting and problem-solving skills and demonstrated ability to handle complex, sensitive issues in a fast-paced, changing environment where you are able to manage ambiguity with confidence Outstanding written and oral communication skills in English, with the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and craft cohesive storylines and communications Please review the additional requirements regarding essential job functions of McKinsey colleagues.
