Accounting Manager This is a 6-month, full-time (40 hrs/week), remote (U.S.-based) W-2 contract role. Summary We're seeking an Accounting Manager to support critical month-end and quarter-end close activities, with a focus on review, oversight, and cross-functional collaboration. This role will provide key support for audit inquiries, ad hoc requests, and special projects while covering a team member's leave. Our Ideal Candidate 7-10 years of experience in accounting, preferably within publicly traded companies Passion for process improvement and financial accuracy, with a strong foundation in month/quarter close activities Proficient in Zuora and Excel, with strong technical accounting skills Familiar with ASC606 revenue recognition standards Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams across finance and operations Able to work independently while balancing review and executional responsibilities Flexible with time zones; preference for PST hours but open with flexibility during close cycles and deadlines Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to escalate issues appropriately and hit the ground running Comfortable working in a collaborative, supportive, and change-friendly team culture Job Description In this role, you will oversee the month-end and quarter-end close process, including managing the Zuora close, reviewing journal entries and reconciliations, and preparing variance commentary. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to investigate ad hoc issues, respond to audit inquiries, and drive resolution on accounting matters. This includes contributing to special projects such as UAT, process automation, and efficiency improvements. You will also support the broader accounting team's success by sharing insights, assisting with new initiatives, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 7+ years of accounting experience (IC role, not managing) Prior experience with publicly traded companies Knowledge of ASC606 revenue recognition Experience with Zuora and Excel Preferred but not required: CPA certification Workday experience Previous experience within the tech industry Additional Requirements Remote, U.S.-based role (flexibility to align with PST hours preferred) Monday-Friday schedule, ~8-5 with extended hours during close cycles and projects The pay range for this W-2 position is $58.94 - $62.50per hour May be eligible for benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and PTO, depending on tenure and hours worked #LI-AN1
